Rough Start Manifesto

The Expert in the Rough, Rough Start Manifesto

1) I will never ever let fear get in the way of living my dreams.

2) I believe that in the long run the nice guy finishes first.  If there is even such a thing as finish.

3) I don’t care what people think about me, but I do care about how I treat people.

4) Any great adventure starts with a lack of experience.  What is experience anyway, what you get along the way.  If you start now, you now have experience.

5) The greatest joy in life is finding a way to live your dreams and helping others do the same.

6) You are never too old or too young to change paths.  Clarification with lyrics from P.O.D. from the song Alive.

Everyday is a new day
Im thankful for
Every breath I take
I wont take it for granted (I wont take it for granted)
So I learn from my mistakes
Its beyond my control
Sometimes its best to let go
Whatever happens
In this lifetime
So I trust in love (so I trust in love)
You have given me
Peace of mind
I feel so alive
For the very first time
I cant deny you
I feel so alive
I feel so alive
For the very first time
And I think I can fly

8)  Remember to enjoy the ride because you just never know when it might end.  Not to be morbid but you just never know.

9) Family is important.  If you are married 100% commitment is the key.

10)  If you live on the fence you can get knocked off and land on the wrong side.  No decision is often a bad decision.

11) Dream big, go for it with blind faith, see what happens, get honest with yourself, decide if its worth the trip, if so keep going, if not abort, if you are not sure make a decision on one of the two, see item 10.

12) Value First is one of my favorite concepts in life.  Jeffrey Gitomer has taught me this concept and I must say it is without fail the best approach to life.  I like to take it a step further.

I call it the Three Eyed Life Plan.

Ideas, always have a couple in your back pocket ready to share.

Introductions, be ready to connect people who provide value.

Invest in people and yourself.

13) Be willing to fail and quit.  You won’t know if you like something until you give it a try.
