Dave,

I am glad we could have the real closer join us with some commentary. I will pack my bags and call it a day. I am not worthy.

Good luck hard charger.

LinkedIn is for sad power-exec wannabes like yourself who have to whore out their profile and try and claim it is for "closers". The people making the real money aren't begging for friends on a website they write to try and make themselves look good.

Great entry and assignment, Brian. LinkedIn is definitely for the big kids who want to get down to the nitty-gritty instead of just wasting time on more "social" sites.

I've had a lot of success using LinkedIn for marketing purposes to get the word out about Salesconx. We're an online marketplace for business referrals that's very similar to LinkedIn, but with a touch of Ebay since users bid for contacts to grow their network. I started using LinkedIn seriously about 3 months ago and have seen a significant boost in traffic on our site just by providing links to the page and by answering relevant questions in the "Answers" section. It's really quite remarkable how social media/networking is exploding!

I will add you on LinkedIn right now, so be on the lookout for my request.

Take care,
-Gina
